I'm enjoying the hold music you've chosen. Was hoping to whip up a batch of your hot cross muffins (I like the way I've made that sound like I'm always whipping up batches of baked goods), but can't see the recipe. Have I missed a link somehow?
I was socially irresponsible and posted no link, Flora. This is the English muffin recipe I use (I make a batch a week at least, as they are ever so nice), and for the hot cross variety I throw in some cinnamon, sultanas and cherries as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/english_muffins_56640
Marvellous, thank you x
Oh welcome back. I've missed you. I'm on hold....
Thank you, Anna, you are my new favourite reader.

Tell Mise in here own time, we do not mean to be pushy and all that...Helenxx
I don't see 70's--it's more fairy tale cottage in the woods to me.Happy to hold.
Your tiny house is a delight, my dear. Tell me, do you find it needs re-tiling often?
Pleeeeeaaaaassssseeeee commmmmmmme baaaaaaaack. No I really do mean it.Not that I'm a stalker or anything.(I am)You are who I turn to when I cannot cope with the 'other' blogs. You know the sm*g ones.Oops did I say that out loud.......x
Dear Mise, I miss you terribly; however understand completely, as I am known to take long breaks from blogging as well! There is a great life to live after all!xoxoKarena2014 Artists Series
Mise!Where the bloody hell have you been???Seriously, hope all is ok.Heather x
Do you know, Mise, I don't think it would have occurred to me to use chocolate dipped hotdogs as tiling for the roof, but they are quite effective. And who knows, if deep fried Snickers and Twinkies could start a trend here, your chocolate hotdogs could go viral. I look forward to reading about you on Wikipedia. Good to hear from you.
Mise, you are a very amusing lady. I am very happy to hold on, with visions of how delighted a nine year old would have been with that amazing chocolate cake. I am 68, and would also have been delighted!xo
Darling Mise,We have long since passed being nine years old but we want a cake like this and we want it now. No, come to think of it, we want two cakes like this and we want them now. Otherwise there will be tears in Blogland.......and there have been far too many tears already........shed for the delicious but absent Mise. And now, all we have to comfort ourselves is a recorded message.......no doubt sent from a call centre somewhere in the Indian sub-continent. Darling Mise, please let it not be true that you have gone the way of all bank managers of the past. One used to be able to call the local branch of one's bank and speak directly to one's own personal account manager. They would ask about the family, the garden and sundry other topics of importance rather than dwelling on the matter of one's overdraft. However, these days an officious robotic voice insists upon one answering several hundred security questions before denying access to anything. Please let it not be true that you, darling Mise, are now a mere recording of yourself.Shall we no longer have the personal Mise touch? Will we not be allowed into your warm and comfortable home to savour the delights of freshly baked goodies? We are desperately holding on......to our sanity......until you grace Blogtopia once more!
I have missed you, but obviously not as much as the Hattatts. I don't miss the loop of The Four Seasons though.
Happy Birthday to Pink Girl!! I'm assuming this lovely cake was for her. While I am holding, I think I'll try dipping hot dogs in chocolate and see how they taste...clever girl you, giving us a tasty morsel to experiment with while we wait!It seems many of us in blogtopia have gone by the wayside for a bit...funny how that happens, especially when it's unintentional. Look forward to your return whenever the Mise Muse allows for it!xo Jessica
Pink doormat? Of course.
Missed you Mise ….hope to see you on my sidebar more often ……. I'm hanging up now !! XXXX
Am I moving up the queue yet..........meanwhile whilst holding Happy Birthday all round.
You are obviously toying with our affections - just popping in now and then to let us know the cakes we are missing - shame on you.
Well do tell us when you come back for good. You've fallen off my Feedly reader and I rarely pop into Bloglovin so how will I know!?!?!?!
Could you put me through to your manager please ?
Am happy holding. :)
sloggy on the bloggy myself...but i always enjoy popping in to yours and it cheers me to no end...specially your receipes...
Choco cake!! Who cares about the colours(: chocolate any time! Xo z
Your writership (is that even a word) is important to me. Holding! x
Chocolate finger cake! OK, so it probably has a more dignified name, but that's how I remember it from decades ago. A happy spring to you all.
I hope it was a happy ninth birthday! I love the cake, though brown always reminds me of 70's too. Always enjoy your posts :-)
How is this possible...a post a month ago and I am just seeing? Your little house cake is charming and the door and mat divine! The chocolate hot dog roof inspired! If we can have bacon chocolate candy here in gourmet shops, I am sure this trendy dog will be the rage in a lovely cake bun! Hope all is well with you and yours...of course, we don't mind holding...as long as you need us to. Happy Belated Birthday greetings to the owner of the little house!
Mise, being a mom is a priority and nobody can blame you (: cool cake!!Miss you though but have been a bit more out of touch myself as we had our second baby boy and can't miss the best of times with them for anything!Love z
Hey there lovely Mise. I miss the blogging rhythm that we all had back in 2010 or 2011. So many of our comrades have dropped by the wayside....you and I are still straggling at the rear of the pack, but dammit! We're still here! How's about we limp along together discussing new bunting applications and the perils of cheap gin. I think of you so often, particularly since I fell so utterly, completely, hopelessly in love with Ireland last year. You really should have warned me about those 24 hour country weddings though. We barely survived the 4am Irish sing-along in the bar. Hope all is ok with you and your lovely ones. Much love M xo
I especially love the jaunty grosgrain flag on top. All kinds of pastellised-chocolate charm going on here, dear Mise.
I still check on you every now and then... I hope you're feeling more like your bloggy self....
You're looking particularly well.
