Hello Mise:Well, here is our confession.... we have never really understood the Dewey system as a result of which libraries have been something of a closed book!! And, just look at what we have missed....the cushion section, surely the most well visited of them all and cunningly sandwiched, we suspect, between Carpentry and Campanology in order that only the most skilled library users, such as you, dear Mise, [or the librarians]would be able to find it.Our cushions are unshowable!!And, after such a
My first time commenting here and I have to admit that I have only three cushions in my entire apartment and one of those was ready made from a well known supermarket.
Love your collection of cusions - so colorful! Alas, mine aren't nearly as interesting.
I'm afraid there are only two and they were made by the people who upholstered our sofa so they match sort of. Mostly they end up on the floor.
What is the collective noun for cushions I wonder. A plump? Alas we are entirely cushionless and so I cannot reciprocate. Unless you count the big floor cushions the dogs use, we do seem to have a lot of those!
That's a lot of cushions! (Great word, cushion.)
Oh my. I am embarrassingly behind.
Ah - someone else familiar with the Dewey system, how wonderful ..... I still have my 'Librarian' badge from school! When I have a spare 3 weeks or so, I will take photos of all my cushions!!
Well of course I have shown you the latest additions - made covertly while Northern Husband was away. The others have been tossed on the floor by him. He regards them as an abomination.
Lovely cushions galore! Maybe they should be call "tushions"! They always end under there in our house! LOL
Oh Mise, what a cacophony of cushions.....do you think that a group of cushions could be a cacophony ? Anyway, they are pretty, have the squishy factor and meet with all of the cushiony blogging rules when it comes to cushions !!I have already shown my cacophony of cushions and, I believe you commented on them so, I have fulfilled the brief and feel that I can now tick that off of the list that appears in my blogging manual !!I am obviously a few blogs ahead of you and have now graduated to ' duvet sets ....patterned or plain ' !!. XXXX
Hello Mise..I love your collection. There must be a lot of "pillow talk" going on in your house! I saw an excellent bumper sticker which read "Corduroy pillows are making head lines"Did I spot a knitted cushion?I have many cushions. I love hand sewing and I particularly love sewing silk - I have quite a collection but am not at home presently, otherwise, I would "show and tell"You have a valuable collectionHelen xx
They are so very pretty.
I don;t have any right now....not one....when my moving van comes I will have some from my cottage....plus a new one I ordered recently.....it's pink and ruffled....
I can only begin to aspire to such a collection, Mise. Quite as predominantly pink and pretty as I expected.
You have beautiful and comfy looking cushions, in probably just the right amount. I have sons instead of daughters, and they sometimes complain about the fussiness of cushions; nevertheless, they are happy to lay their unwashed sleepy heads on the cushions.
It is too early in the morning here for me to form a coherent comment on your cunning collection of cushions. But I would be very happy to place my tired head on any of them and go back to sleep.xo Jane
Sadly, I am deficient in the cushion department. But there are a few, and they are colorful, and covered in dog hair... here you go: http://glutenforpunishment.net/2011/08/cushion/
After seeing your pillows, I realized that I don't have a single one with a floral pattern. Only abstract motifs, a la Vasarely.
I can't believe I spent the whole day wondering what I should do today when I could have been photographing and cataloging my cushion collection. Nice to have a plan for the next time I get off my cushiony backside ...
Oh I adore beautiful cushions, have quite a few packed up right now, however I could do a post soon!I love yours!xoxoKarenaArt by Karena
My cushions are an embarrassment. I am a slave to IKEA. Yours are a delight. Next, I would like to see all your china! :)
Just fantastic - I'm busy photographing....
Our cushions are purchased mostly by Limerick Husband (it seems to be the fashion in blogtopia to name the provenance of ones beloved, like meat.) Hence they are not so pretty as yours. They rely on texture rather than colour or pattern. They are nice all the same.
Love the pillow talk here.Fun idea about seeing all the cushions in everyone's house! I see a McLinky cushion party on the horizon...
I'd be embarrassed to line-up my cushions for you dear Mise. I am totally, undeniably void of glorious, beatific color. You..cheerful, sunny, and happy color. I am ashamed....xx downer deb
you would not want to see my “cushions”...you would no longer think of my as groovy and together. Thank you M for your visit and comment.
I so rue the day Dewey was abandoned in place of random shelving in my library. I'd put it to the back of my mind but you have resurrected my anger. Feeling piqued. But loving those cushions...
Well of course I would show you, but I am wise enough to know that I am woefully undercushioned currently, and just can't compete. I need to try much harder.
Hang on, hang on....the cushions are, as one would expect, glorious. However, can your next post be "all the fabrics in my house, every single one"? I'm loving them....every single one.Meredy xo.p.s. have you passed on this genetic cushion disposition to either of the gorgeous girls?
Does this include the ones hidden under the bed because they are no longer appropriate for my current style yet are so extremely valuable (even the ones I got for free) that I cannot possibly dispose of them?(Love the pink flower ones you've got.)
I have a cushion confession as well. Once, I had a ginger fake furry cushion. A little square that lived on my bed. I didn't think anything of it. But then I got Ginger, my cat. And I noticed he used to give the cushion a few rather odd looks. And then give me a few rather odd looks. I could almost see him wondering if that was the fate of the last ginger cat, so quickly gave away the ginger cushion, and me and Ginger have been happy ever since!
Your cushions are perfect. Pale and pretty and interesting. I did buy some at the weekend, none as wonderful as those. I got mine in that place Arlene likes...
Oh they are all so pretty, lots of pastel colours- just what I LOVE :)All things nice...
They are all lovely... my favourite is the white one with pink fringes. You sure have a lot of cushions and your house is beautiful. We hardly use cushions at my house...
You're looking particularly well.
