Don't mind me; I'm just quietly posting a few flowers for
Jane's global flower presentation.

[heather and yellow rose in bathroom, seven points]
This one below is an old image, but Jane won't realise that. It was only when I started clicking round the other participants in the global flower presentation that I spotted that some of the rotters had more than one flower arrangement. I panicked, of course, and shot back through my archives to put on some sort of a decent showing.

Sixteen points in all; not bad, eh? It's not that there's a prize; it's a matter of Self-Respect.
I love daffodils...and we all know you definitely are respectable blogger :}
ReplyDeleteAnd I've only exhibited a single bloom. Last place, again...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, Mise! A great entry! Sixteen well-deserved points! And very accurate addition!
ReplyDeleteAh but Denise, your entry showed Depth. I'd be all in favour of plenty of points for Depth were I not a fellow competitor. Indeed, were there a competition.
ReplyDeleteIf there were a competition for making me laugh out loud you'd be the blue ribbon winner.
ReplyDelete42 points for beauty and wit. Oh, and your flowers are nice too:)
xo Jane
So lovely! I hope you win.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I love your heather and rose mix...so worthy of 7, even more, points!
ReplyDeletepoints schmoints. or not perhaps? question is does the point value or the waffly praise give you more goose bumps?
ReplyDeletelaughing out loud...
ReplyDeleteit's always worth the trip...
YOu should get a job for the Eurovision! I'Irlande dix points!..Sinead x
ReplyDeleteYou mean you have old daffodils? Yet they look so fresh ;-) My you do have talent Miss Mise. I nearly added my own photos of fresh marigold garlands in India. However, once I enlarged the photo a little I saw that they weren't half as alive looking as your old daffodils. So I slipped back into my admiration of you and resolutely refuse to put any flower photos up at all. Besides, it is raining on the daisies on my lawn :(
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise it was a competitive sport. Maybe I should win the Ugliest Roses section.....
ReplyDeletei was going to enter using your 'floor'al FAQ image from a little while back but honesty got the better of me....
ReplyDeleteyour my favourite to win AND your my favourite
Lovely to see daffodils. They are such happy little flowers and always make me smile.

I LOVE it when people become highly competitive over the posting of small lovely flower arrangements. Rotters indeed.
ReplyDeleteHooray for spring yellows! I like the rose especially. Even the fact that it's slightly out of focus (in deference to the native heather) gives it a shimmering quality.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stan; thank you.
ReplyDeleteI hope self does now respect? We loyal readers have, of course, respected all along xx
ReplyDeletePS You got a special but veiled mention in a post of gratitude on my blog this week. Expect a full fudge review soon.
Surely there are points awarded in the 'utilitarian flower arrangement' category - and that should put you right over the top.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure i quite understand what's going on here... is it like some kind of "Blog in Bloom" award? Excellent entry anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh Mise, these are such lovely pictures of the flowers. So bright and cheery. Hope you have been well. Simone xx
