I've been looking so long at these pictures of me that I almost believe that I'm real

  1. Absolutely gorgeous. I love childrens images of their parents. I remember painting my mum when I was about 6 and gave her bright orange hair. She's redhead but to me it was bright orange. I have a fabulous one my daughter did of me with matching earrings and necklace - she knows me well.

  2. Well Mise,
I think that these talented artisis have really captured a true likeness of you. You should definitely use one as your profile photograph.
You have a pair of aspiring artists in your midst. XXXX

  3. You are a good mother! Look how proudly you've displayed their lovely, lovely art work. And tell me your secret to getting such vibrant blue hair?? L'Oreal?

  4. But of course: 6 fingers, stringy hair which sticks out in stubborn strands, slightly insane unfocused stare. That is you isn't it?

I love the way children draw their parents. How about this for controlling. My three year old son starts crying when I put my hair up (which I have to do quite regularly because I don't wash it as much as I should)> not just crying but crying and screaming mummy mummy put your hair down NOW. It's like being in some kind of hair prison.

  9. Wonderful! I love kids' family drawings too (I always seem to look as if I'm wearing a big pair of rubber gloves and have a very high forehead for some reason!)

  13. Aw! These are gorgeous! I love the hair and the writing! So cute. It's so important to keep all of these drawings even if they do churn them out on a daily basis. I love the art wall and the blue and red bird is one to frame! Beautiful stuff and well done to the girls x

  15. I love it. All of it. And you are. (Real, I mean.) When will start being Maria again, as opposed to Noah's Mom, I wonder..? Ever? I guess it's not so bad...

    Your girl's artwork: genius. Truly.

    Hope you're well, dear.

  16. Reminds me of once when my son brought home a painting. I said, 'Is it an explosion?' and he said, 'No, Mummy, it's you'. Ho hum.

  25. The images they have of us are amazing. Recently 8 year old wrote about me for homework: I can't sing, am kinda pretty, I quit jobs, I am loving, but I definately can't dance.
Down with that sort of thing- stick to the pictures. Your hair is looking well, did you do something to it?
