the same cushions as Anna Spiro

There was I, idly leafing through Canadian House and Home in my global way (thanks, Chania, for sending it to me!) when I spotted two of my cushions. On Anna Spiro's sofas!

[same cushion! same cushion!]

I hastened to ring everyone I know to tell them I have two of the same cushions as Anna Spiro. "My blue Sanderson one," I told them excitedly, "you surely remember it, and the large flower cushion on my favourite pink armchair." They ignored me and went on and on about themselves instead. I'd like to blame Facebook for that sort of behaviour but my friends have always been like that.

So I'm here to tell you instead. You'll understand, won't you?

  1. Blog friends do seem to pay more attention than friends in the flesh...I constantly get ignored in the "outside" world...That is why I like it here better.

Comment on your pillows....you probably had them before that other chick, and she copied you..

  2. I understand, I do. I'm just concerned about how Anna Spiro got hold of your cushions. Was she an invited guest who betrayed your trust by smuggling them out in her capacious, stylish handbag? Or has she been stalking you in order to track your movements and hence pick the best moment to break and enter?

  4. I'm listening.. And I think it's amazing! You're so cool!

  5. oh, that is very good news indeed - you must frame the image from House and Home in the room that your pillows are located - then everyone who enters can be escorted to the page. Then you can say, 'See, See! Selfish friends, this is big! I am important!

  6. Getting excited about pillows? No, I don't get it. I'm just not interested in that sort of thing, you know. Seriously though, I love both of your pillows and the furniture they're sitting on.

  8. Excellent cushions! Are they in actual everyday use or stored safely for when bloggy friends or cameras come to visit?
Also, I have a confession/query, oh Great Lifestyle Guru... is it Wrong that I'd never heard of Anna Spiro until 3 minutes ago? should I spend some time in the 'extra help' class?

  11. Heather, displaying the H and H photos would be going over the top entirely, so I'll definitely do that.

Speccy, you hadn't heard of Anna Spiro? My cushions seem so in vain now.

Jaboopee, you're such a good listener. Would you consider taking up counselling?

  12. She not only has lovely cushions (just like yours ... think of it that way) but she has a very tidy bookshelf.

  13. I'm with Heather. Perhaps take it a step further and enlarge the photos (wall size is acceptable) so that those thoughtless friends of yours have no alternative but to notice.

  39. Just for you Mise, I got out the glass cake stands and piled them up. All the while inwardly sighing that I did not have individual glass covers for each cupcake languishing there nakedly, with nothing to hide it's shame.

Come and mock me if you dare.
